As I shivered outdoors I often remark that I can't tell
there is global warming. I said this as a joke but heard
some startling news today.

4 global satellites that keep track of Earths temperature
reported that the last year was from 1.3 to 7.5 degrees
colder on average than anytime since records have been kept.

Scientists claim it is because of low solar activity
(the sun produced less solar storms and sunspots than normal)
Then again they are probably the same scientists
predicting gloom and doom from global warming.

But history notes low solar activity caused a mini Ice age
in the 1300s that slowed human population growth and
overall advances in technology.

My whole point is that scientists who rely on statistics
and make predictions may not be correct. Like with anything
a man should listen carefully and decide for himself.

I think these scientist just sit around and create problems just so they have something to study. Keeps them off the unemployment line that way. I think the earth just kinda does it's own thing when it comes to warming and cooling trends. Sure humans have not been good to the environment during are relativity short existence here on earth. But I don't think we a going to cause the planet to turn into a giant flaming fireball any time soon. What caused the ice age that doomed the dinosaurs into extinction. Must of been all the methane gas they were putting out after eating beans for dinner. They say that aerosols, refrigerants, pollution, and tons of other things are ruining the ozone and causing global warming. But I just wander what the adverse side effects are on the ozone after launching space shuttles, rockets, and missiles through it might be. Of course we would never hear anything about that I'm sure the government wouldn't want anybody to know. Kinda of funny how when someone comes up with an idea to reduce pollution that would save everyone money it never seems to reach the market. But if it will cost us more they waste no time making it available to us. How many different ways have been invented to reduce emissions and get alot better fuel mileage in vehicles. Yet hardly any of them ever seem to make it to the roadways. Until they find a solution I will keep doing my part to damage the ozone so we can have summer year round. Very Happy
