Well I finally landed my first cats of the year today! This was only my 4th time out catfishing and I got into some hungry channels! Billee and I ended up landing 6 channels, 7 suckers, and each lost 1 fish...

Went out again today for 2 and a half hours, bite was much slower than yesterday, but the weather was also a complete turn around, water was much muddier yesterday and it was overcast...Did end up landing this small channel and a sucker, also lost a channel at the bank that was a couple lbs...

Chuck,

How big was the suckers? Did you catch them at the Tusc? Any good size for flathead baits?

you gotta love where that creek dumps in at 36/93 When the water comes up, the fish will stack up in there! Too bad there wasn't any bigguns in the mix. You'll get some soon enough though if you keep at it Very Happy

You also gotta love when people try to give away your fishing spots. Rolling Eyes

Chad, all the suckers were actually nice sized, all of them were too big for bait, we caught them in a feeder creek, between newcy and west laf...

These suckers were all probably 3lbs or better, I did catch one at my camp the other week that would have been perfect bait though it was about 12in...

If we get the rain that we are supposed to get, the feeder creeks from Newcy to West laf will be full of fish, Any one of them would be great to try, Let me know if you wanna go...

Nobody was giving away any fishing holes. I thought most anyone that knows you knows you fish there Laughing I don't fish it much, but when I do I like it when the water is up. My dad fishes down there a good bit too!
