I spooled mono reels today.
4 ultralights for bluegill and 2 larger spinning reels for channel cats.
I thought about trying them out but the hook, sinker and bobber would bounce on the lake surface. Maybe that hard stuff on top will melt soon.
I snelled 1 size Kahle hooks on the channel cat rods to try them out this year.
I haven't tripped over 20-25 lb big game solar which is what I want to spool the Abu 6500s with.
I bought a half mile of dacron for the flathead reels. That should last me awhile _________________ Catchabiggun,

Robby,
You be proud of me. I finally got to the garage and did some prep work for fishing. I spooled 12 rods tonight. 10 with dacron and 2 abu's with 20lb mono. Got gear all ready and organized. Put new grease in bearing buddies on boat trailer and changed lower lube on 9.9. All I need now is some fresh gas and a new tag for boat trailer and I'm pretty much ready. And dh to bring some bait down to put in bait tank.
