Went out to the crick fished a 19 foot hole around 7 to 8 foot water, had 3 hits only one hook up, fish are very lite biters this early, used cut sucker for bait 1/2 x 1 inch pieces

Not only will the channel cats bite lite after ice out.
Sometimes they will only take cut shad as they search for winter killed shad that releases from the ice.

Yes ive hered of that in a catfish insider i just didnt have any shad on me or i would of used em. wish i did though. _________________ Brock |

Last year after ice out I saw stacks of winter killed shad.
I haven't noticed any yet this year. But guys were catching lots of forktails and gills through the ice just before it melted (on waxworms) _________________ Catchabiggun,
