Fished paint creek this weekend twice, both at night and caught several channels both times out! Finally starting to really pick up again! Caught 90% on fresh cut shad! Got most on shallow flats! Good luck! |

The channel cats have been hungry since they spawned.
I get 1-4 each night over 10 lbs that take a full sized bluegill meant for flathead. _________________ Catchabiggun,

I live in Peebles, about an hour away from Paint Creek. I have heard that the channels have been biting well under the spillway. Some reportadly over 10lbs, one claimed to be around 18. There were no pics just stories, and you know how that goes. We have caught (and weighed) 2 channels over 10lbs from Rocky Fork Lake, which is 15 mins south of Paint Creek Lake. Best of luck. _________________ Sean Stone |
