I made a little video of our flathead bridle.
It is the best way we have found to keep flathead
over night with the least damage and stress to the fish.

We tie flathead this way to keep for more accurate weighing
in morning as well as pictures. We have never had a flathead die
with this rig. I did hear of a pair of catmen who had a cat get its
tail eaten by a raccon though. Putting the fish in deeper water or
simply paying attention to the area might prevent that.
Don't tie fish close together because they will tangle and may injure
