As usual, most of the better deer around this year I can't get on camera. I did get a few though.
Just one pic of this guy. Looks interesting, but I need to see him hard horned. He might make the grade though, I just can't tell.
Not sure about this one either. I got lots of pics here, most of the same bucks but this is the one that looks the best. I'm not sure if he's that good or if this is just a good picture.
I think the one in the backgound here may be the same one as the previous pic. It was blazing hot when this pic was taken, as you can tell.
I think this is the best one I've seen this year. This was back in mid July, havenn't seen him lately, This was with a normal digital camera from the back porch as dusk, so quality isn't great. Great 8 pointer.
I saw this one most recently last Tuesday. Still not sold on him. Looking from the front out of velvet, he's not that impressive. But from the side he looks outstanding. He also has a 3-4" sticker sticking out the back that's not visible in this pic. Only got two pics of him, both foggy like this. He's a regular, just not in front of my cameras.
History shows that I rarely get big deer on camera, in fact I’ve never gotten what I would call a really big deer on a trail camera. So I’m hoping something a little better comes along this fall. But I won’t discount the possibility of one of these looking big enough at 30 yards. I also won't dismiss the possibility of skunking out this year. Came real close last year. It's fun regardless. |

That first pic looks like his brows curve back, that is always cool. He also has great main beams and g2s. A shooter in my book! _________________ Brock |

You always report seeing bigger deer in season than what you spot all Summer.
Be careful and shoot the right one _________________ Catchabiggun,
