Went to Pro Bass on Friday, bought a new 5/8 - 3/8 sinker mold. Yesterday I made a 1 gallon picher full of the 5/8 egg sinkers. Located more wheel wights and lead from a recycle center today. After work melted it down and cleaned it up. Poured it in the wifes muffin mold. Well she was not impressed with me when she came outside and saw what I was pouring it into. Well I now have 24 more cakes of clean lead. Going to make a gallon of the 3/8 egg sinkers next.

Sgt
You will get better results with a better source of lead. Wheel weights have alloys to make them harder (higher melting temp).
Sinker article
My wife caught me making ingots in the cupcake pan. When she started throwing a fit I asked her the last time she made cupcakes and she quieted down
I hope those new sinkers help catch lots of big cats. _________________ Catchabiggun,

Looks like you should be set for sinkers, and weed eaters, for a long time. |
