I was thinking of getting my wife one for bluegill fishing around brush.

The telescoping poles wouldn't take much room. I already agreed to buy her another ultralight outfit but thought the long pole would be good around thick brushpiles.

I have one and they are great for bluegill and crappie. Get one you won't regret it.

I was watching In fisherman this morning and they were usin those extendable crappie poles like you would an old cane pole with only five foot of line tied to the end to catch channel cats around log jams

I like to use 'em for white perch on Back bay in Virginia when they're in. It's also a lot of fun to take a can 'o worms and "dabble" for channel cats in the fall around the duck blinds in Back bay in the fall.

I like catching bait ALMOST as much as catfishing and I catch all sorts of bait with a shakespeare wonderpole. bass, crappie, gills, skips, carp, bullhead, white bass, wipers, sauger, catfish and one time I even caught a 2# goldfish ROFL Laughing The telescopic cane poles are not only great for obtaining bait, but I think its some of the most fun Ive ever had fishing. Very Happy You might want to get more than one.....cuz when the kids see yall hoggin all the fun they will want to get in on it too!

I have a 12 ft tele pole. Use it for gills and crappie. Works good when wanting to fish brush from shore. Able to reach out and get where you want it

i have a couple and they are great. if you can find a small reel, fill it with line and mount it on the butt of the pole and you have a great fishing pole. you can control how much line and even better the reel stores the line a lot easier than on a regular extened a pole.
