If you find the larger ones.........you find them. Being on yoru boat, I would guess it's just a matter of cruising around trying different schools till you find larger ones.
from what I have seen they tend to hang out in groups of the same size. Not always the case beings I will also catch a few larger ones in with smaller ones. Generally though, it seems like if you throw and get 3 inchers, you will prob keep getting them in that area. It also seems to me that during the summer the larger ones are harder to find. I also only go out for shad about once a month or less though _________________ Team Empty Stringer |

I occasionally throw cast nets for shad. The problem for me is that there are now many sizes of shad and many of my throws land on shad too small to be caught in the cast net.
Is there any way to make sure you are throwing at bigger shad? _________________ Catchabiggun,
